Calvin & Hobbes

Since I have been accused of having some kind of particular devotion to John Calvin and Thomas Hobbes over the past few weeks, I thought I would take some time to clarify my position.

The only Calvin & Hobbes I have any particular devotion to were written and drawn by Bill Watterson. They filled my childhood and early teenage years with much joy and wonder. As for the bucket, Pawtucket.

Speaking of "Calvin & Hobbes", you made a comment on the recent WWWTW gun control comment thread in which you more or less described yourself as about as close to a Calvinist on the question of predestination as your Thomism would allow. Or rather, that your commitment to Thomism brought you very close to the Calvinist view.

As an evangelical who is interested in both Calvinism and Thomism (though I know little about each) this caught my attention.

Purely for my own curiosity, would you be willing to expand a bit on this? What is the Thomistic view on predestination?

I would be glad to expand upon it. I am a little busy at the moment, but I will try to write a post on predestination in the next two weeks or so.
